Owen was knocked down and killed by a driver who failed to stop on Fishpond Lane at Chapelthorpe, Wakefield, on Saturday, June 18.

His parents, Joanne, 33, and Neil, 31, are inviting family and friends to a "celebration of Owen’s life" at 11.30am on Friday, at St James’ Church, Chapelthorpe.

Family only are invited to Wakefield Crematorium following the church service, which will then be followed by a wake for family and friends at Crigglestone Working Men’s Club.

Any donations made in Owen’s memory will be split between Pinderfields Hospital children’s ward and Yorkshire children’s cancer charity Candlelighters.

Owen was returning home for lunch after playing with a friend in woods near his home when tragedy struck.
