The four Paralympic marathon events take place on Sunday 9 September, with the men’s T12 and T46 events starting at 8am and the men’s and women’s T54 event starting at 11.30am.

The race starts and finishes in the ticketed area of The Mall however the rest of the route is unticketed and therefore free for people to come and watch.

The route is an eight mile looped course that firstly takes runners on a smaller 2.2 mile loop south along the river to Westminster Bridge, along , around the Queen Victoria Memorial, back along the ticketed area of The Mall, and then out onto the wider loop past St Paul’s Cathedral, out towards the Tower of London and back along to rejoin the initial route.
Athletes run the larger loop three times.
As a result, there will be a number of road closures across the day.
Marathon Road ClosuresThe following roads will be closed for the men’s marathon on Sunday 9 September. Roads will be closed from around midnight and will not reopen until late afternoon.
