My kids have been obsessed with the Taro Gomi coloring books since I brought one home from the bookstore a few years ago, and since then, he added a bunch of awesome must have additions to the collection that I just had to share.
Now it probably a misnomer to call them books, since they really provide kids with inspiration to draw and color through drawing prompts, but forget semantics whatever they called, they nothing short of fabulous. If you want to just dive right in, you could order the entire collection of his original three books, which will get you 1200 pages and who knows how many hours of creative fun. But definitely check out the new Doodle 123, a smaller, perhaps more manageable coloring book like the other three.
And if you got family and friends that are far away like us, you might like Scribble It!, which is a set of 30 postcards, all of which feature prompts to help guide your kiddo doodling and coloring. Whatever you choose, you can go wrong so say my very quiet and occupied children right this very moment.
Edited: We just got word of a cool of Doodles contest with Chronicle Books and Peek You Curious.
