I’ve played this course on and off for about 10 years. If you can make it through the the 1st 4 holes, the rest of the course is pretty easy. Even though the length of the course is short, it defends itself very well. You can’t overpower the course with your length even if you have tons of it. The tall pines that lurk right off the fairway will get you unless you are the straightest of drivers. The front side is quite the traditional, old style course with holes running parallel to each other. The back side is more spread out, where the holes are more of separate entity. Overall the greens are small and usually firm, which makes hitting the greens in regulation difficult. Some of par 5’s are all reachable in 2 shots, however 1 which is a par 5 is quite difficult to reach in 2. I’ve only ever seen it hit in 2, twice and I did it those times. Overall, the course is a nice challenge. The staff use to be the friendliest of any place I have EVER played. However, several years ago the pro left and I’m not as familiar with the new people who run things.
